CONTEST! "Swap, Share and Win"

So this is a contest being offered to you and open to all. It's meant to be the first tiny spark that will come to ignite a burst of new activity. The idea is this, a contest where anyone does a successful swap with someone else, it counts as a point. and every two weeks the swaps you have all done will be counted and who ever has the most wins a great prize. But the cool thing is, when the next two week round starts, your points carry over and will be added to any points you earn during this second round. Obviously first place gets you a prize for the second week.

I'll go further as to even add more incentive to play.....
On the first of every month whoever has participated (points arent a factor) will be picked randomly by me for a larger size prize in an attept to get more people involved and active.
And then the contest/game resets and starts once more with week one and back starting with
zero points.

First week starts tomorrow - 1/10/17 (2017, not 1917 - Time travel is cheating!!)
Second week starts and the first week's winner accounced 1/17/17
Second Week starts/First week's winner is named 1/24/17
2/1/17 - Random Prize Drawing - New first week starts and everyone's point count goes back to zero.
---- PS. - I will do trades of any kind with anyone, but as I am a non-contestent I do not retain any points, but it will still give you one point since it is a swap.

Maybe this is a silly question, but does the swap have to be with another team member? I do postcard swaps with someone I met through the Adopt A US Soldier website, a fellow supporter of some of our deployed Soldiers, and I'm wondering if that would count. It seems it's difficult to find team members willing to participate in that kind of thing. If it's just Metzli and me, it won't be a very exciting contest, lol!

Metzli, I will keep my eyes open for pictures of jewels and diamonds; I may do the ephemera swap with you. (See, here I am trying to cram this into my too-full to-do-list...)

I'm very glad and happy to have read the posts just now. So, to answer your questions....

You can do a trade with anyone, any time, anywhere. They don't have to be team members or even etsy users really. Literally any kind of swap counts. Not to mention I think it is a really cool idea you had because I think reaching out to everyone is really the spirit and one of the goals of this contest. And remember if you want to swap anything with me, I'm more than willing and we can swap items as much or as little as you want.

Also, I actually used to do a little work with using real gems, settings and so on. So if you want I know I still have some so I can take some pictures of them and be more than happy to share them with you. Is there any specific theme or feeling or a way you want the pictures to be? Just any details or specifics at all would be a great help since I'd know and be able to take those pictures for you in the exact way you'd want them.

So if that shall suit any of your needs let me know and I will get started on them right away! Very excited about this and feel free to spread the word about this contest if you would so we can get others more involved also. I find there are such wonderful people on this team and on ETSY in general, so here is hoping that now as we start this swapping and contests I think if we stick with it, may others will be interested to participate too!!

As it happens, my house has as many books and magazines than a small library, and probably more than are in some kind of professional's waiting rooms. I'm gonna get on that, I like researching or finding things, and especially when I have a specific thing to look for!

Well,

You are now in the lead by 1 and there is only two more days left of the first contest week. Remember everyone, your swaps from week one will be added to the swaps you make during week 2 which is the 17th to the 24th.

And as you know the first of next month a winner will be picked randomly and awarded a prize from those who participated in the first two prize weeks. So even making one swap between now and the prize awarded on the first of next month will enter you in the drawing and give you a good chance for your name to be selected!

I love doing these contests so it's so great to know there is an interest in it, which slowly but surely I want to become a big popular successful thing over time.
