Secret Pal Swap

Jessica recently participated in this really cool swap event through a blog..I think it was called C.R.A.F.T. Anyway, you sign up and are then paired with another shop/person to swap with. You create a package full of goodies and exchange them.

Would anyone be interested in this event? I know that many of us dabble in far more crafts than just the ones we manufacture and sell, so it's a great way to share and get feedback on other projects you've been working on!

If we do this, would everyone prefer "secret" pals, or would everyone prefer to to be paired in twos and have the ability to communicate beforehand?

So if we want to choose someone to swap with - do we select them or do you select ?

Well the person you get will be random, but we will not pair you with someone who does the same items you do. So if you sell soaps you will not get someone who also sells soaps.

Another question - are the items to be swapped randomly chosen by you ? Or does the person get to decide the items ?

Does the items you swap, have to be handmade from your shop, and what price range?

The idea is you are giving a gift bag you yourself would like to receive. So you pick.

Handmade is the key, and variety is awesome. For example Im a embroidery themed bag. All things made on my machine. A few embroidered towels, appliques, lace, key covers, etc.

No price range.

Granted it doesn't have to be all one type of item, but if you do more than one art/craft all the better.

So if I have understood this right -
1. You pick a person to swap with , not me
2. I will choose what to swap - it could be a single item or more than one item
3. The items have to be handmade

Is there any other point to this ?

No;
1) The person you get is chosen at random.
2) You choose what you want to swap, but should be a handful of items. Like a giftbag.
3) Items have to be homemade.

I do a lot of these swaps on swap-bot. They are super fun! I'm actually in the process of putting together some right now-including some that I am the coordinator of or I would for sure join! I hope you will do this again-maybe every few months or so? :D
