This is the first time I am ever doing a swap and needless to say, I have consulted LOADS and LOADS of bloggers, blogs, teams and individual participants...
I received loads of ideas, and a general know - how as to how we should go about this. At the same, time, I was tempted to add my personal flavor to this International Valentine Swap.
This is a perfect opportunity to make a new friend, pick out the perfect gift for them, and send it in the mail! We will have a link up (and some other exciting things along the way) to get to know the other people participating!
So here is how it goes :
1. Since this is just the beginning, we are going to limit the numbers to 12 participants only.
2. All participants would be assigned a partner internationally to whom he / she needs to send her valentine gift.
3. The value of the gift should be not less than $15 including postage. If you’d like to spend more, great! If shipping costs are an issue, you can make a gift that is light weight and fits inside an envelope.
4. All participants would receive their partner details soon after sign up. You are welcome to include a note inside your valentines with information about yourself, your blog/website/etsy business etc…but it is not required or expected.
5. If you feel weird disclosing your name and address, I assure you I will not compile and use this information for any other purpose besides sending you valentines! PS: Please be sure to include your name. Some folks like to omit their name for privacy purposes and then the post office refuses deliver the cards, so just include your initials or nick name if you are uncomfortable with everyone getting up in your business.
6. All gifts need to Valentine themed. There are no rules as to what you can send as long as they are handmade and apt for the partner you are sending to.
Deadlines :
20th Jan : Signup closes
21st Jan : Participants receive their partner info
25th Jan : last date for sending out parcels. All participants need to submit shipment details to me.
5th to 10th Feb : Partners start receiving their gifts :)
