Hello everyone! I just joined this Etsy world kinda by accident (long story), but I love what I'm doing. I mostly have been selling local, but wanted to add an Etsy store and I'm feeling overwhelmed with figuring out best way to package and ship. I took some signs to the post office to get an idea of shipping and the lady was very rude, so I'm not sure I can trust the high prices she gave me. Where does everyone get their packaging from and what is your favorite way to ship? Thanks everyone. I'm excited to have found this group and look forward to getting to know everyone.

Re: Shipping and packaging

Jessica, it's been awhile since your post. Any luck? I make signs up to 21" in length. I have found that wrapping in a layer of shipping paper then covering the corners in bubble wrap, followed by another layer of bubble wrap around the entire sign has proven great for my signs. I find boxes that are close to the length and width of my signs online from a local wholesale shipping box company. I cut it down vertically to match the height of the sign. If there is any wiggle room left I crunch up shipping paper to fill the gap. The goal is to have it not move when shaken. Hope this helps others!
