Help! I need a quote or saying for a sign...

I need a quote or saying for a sign as a gift for my brother. It needs to be a long skinny vertical sign that he's going to hang on a beam and make marks to measure his kid's heights. Something about growing or measuring maybe? I've been looking for months but can't find anything that's not too corny. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you!!!

I don't know what saying you could have on the sign... but... how about doing the sign as if it were a yellow measuring tape... instead of inches... you could do feet. It would be cute... Maybe the saying could read something like : " As each season comes and goes, Look how taller you have grown !" ...Anyway... it's an idea. Blessings, Joe

You could also do a tree and each limb/leaf be a marker point. "An acorn grows to be a mighty oak." Just a thought.
