shopify discounts and new to team

Hi ALL

Finally decided which theme I am going to use for my new Shopify store. For I get started, i was told that if we join the shopify team on etsy, we get a discount off our monthly fee. How does that work? I am ready to get started this weekend building my new shop. Any advise is welcome

My suggestion to @SilverCitybeads is to use many of the free apps offered by Shopify.
