Stopping by to say hi and to wish all our US members a Happy 4th of July!
I have been trying to limit the number of emails I send to the whole team as I am aware of the high amount of email that hits our Inbox from so many sources.
We currently have one open Shopping thread and we are waiting for two more players to start shopping. Here is the link where you may join us! As usual, please read the rules before joining:
https://www.etsy.com/teams/22030/shop-and-click/discuss/18653380/page/2In this newsletter I'd like to focus on our Shopping threads.
We will be opening more $10, $20 and $30 threads as soon as we complete the above open thread. We encourage team members to join as many of our shopping threads as possible. Here are some of the benefits of doing this:
- Work on Inventory
We alternate shopping threads amounts to help our team members work on opportunities to develop inventory for each of these prices, if one of your goals is to spread the price range in your shops to attract a wider variety of shoppers then these threads may help with that.
- US and International threads
We open US-Only and International threads to help team members explore the possibility of expanding the customer base outside of the country where they operate. Working on this as a business development plan while selling to Etsy shoppers inside the team is a one-of-a-kind opportunity. You may learn about shipping fees, packaging, customs and other key areas that will prepare the path for offering worldwide shipping, if that is one of your goals.
- Learn from team members' feedback:
With our shopping threads we get the unique opportunity to obtain item reviews from our team members and leverage their feedback. There is so much we can learn from each other regarding how to improve our product quality and/or design.
- Reviews
We encourage team members to always leave reviews after receiving the purchased item. Online shoppers will probably feel better about a shop that has more reviews than about another one that has very few or ZERO reviews.
- New product ideas:
Every now and then I get custom requests from team members in our threads. These are great opportunities to think outside of the box, and learn about other customer needs that I may not be aware of. A custom request may open a whole new, unique line of products for our shops.
I hope the above helps us all remember how valuable is our team work. I wish you all many successes in each one of your shops!
Last, I'd like to wish you all a wonderful Summer time!
