Time to ask for some shop help!

Hello everyone!
I opened my store in the beginning of the year and am so excited to be a part of the etsy community. It's been great meeting new people and being inspired by everyone's unique creativity. Business in my store is very slow and at first I chalked it up to being a new seller, but the more time that is passing, the more I'm thinking I need some advice.
I'm not getting a lot of traffic to my store on most days (maybe 15 views?) but some days I am hitting approximately 100 views. The thing is, the views are not turning into sales. I have approximately 110 favorites, so at least some people must like my product, but they aren't making any purchases. The majority of my sales have been from people I know. I tried to take better photos of my products and I tried adding different keywords, etc to my titles and tags. None of that seems to be helping. I'm just not sure what else to do.
Any advice and feedback you can give me would be very much appreciated!!
Thank you so much!!
Sarah

Re: Time to ask for some shop help!

Hello Sarah,

I will a couple of things I saw right off first of all the items in your shop are very nice and I think they could be really marketable. Your pictures are great!

somethings I have found that have helped my sales, not that I have had a tone and I am new, but add more to your circle the more in your circle the more your items are seen.

I am a color person and when I search for something I search by color. I would a color descriptions in your tags more and I read somewhere on Etsy to use as many or all the tags you can, more tags more ways for people to find you. I hope this helps.

Good Luck to you!!! :)

Re: Time to ask for some shop help!

Hi I am relatively new too. I would really appreciate some feedback on my shop as well. I am willing to be patient as I know it takes a while to get noticed but if there is something more I can do to get more traffic comments or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all the great artists on Etsy.

Sarah I think your work is lovely. I don't think the number of sales you have is at all bad considering how long you have been on Etsy - you are getting far more views than I am, how do you do it?!!

Good luck, I'm sure that your sales will just increase over time.

ps - the only thing I did think is that I've been told it's best to change the titles and not have the same thing for every item - that way you stand a better chance of being found by more people.

Re: Time to ask for some shop help!

Thank you so much for the feedback! :)
I will definitely try to vary the titles on my items so hopefully different searches will find different items. And adding more colors to the tags also seems like a great idea! I was just using the primary color as a tag, but maybe adding other colors would help. And I will also add more people to my circle!
It's nice that I have a lot of views, but my sales have all been from either friends/aquaintances or friends of friends... so nobody from the outside world. That's the discouraging part! But I'm definitely going to keep at it.
You guys are great. Thanks for the encouragement and advice!
:)

Re: Time to ask for some shop help!

Hi there, I'm Daisy, I started selling my jewellery in February.
I haven't sold anything yet, and being new I know I need to get in noticed, which I've been doing on my blog twitter and stuff. But I was wondering if someone could give me some feedback or help to maybe improve on it or some tips. I didn't know if my jewellery was good enough or something or if I have maybe not edited something correctly. I've made sure my images are clear, and used all my tags etc plus being a student I can't afford to constantly renew :/ but I thought something would of sold maybe. Bit muddled up lol, but if someone could feedback that would be a really big help.

Hello Etsy sellers! :) I too am a little frustrated because I have many great reviews but not one sale. Is something wrong? I've double and triple checked everything and I'm actually wondering if maybe this is the wrong site for my jewelry. Well, good luck to all!!
