Stuck in a slump

I have sold 1 item since I posted my photography on Etsy. I have a blog, a website, facebook page, twitter.....you name it. I am going through right now lowering some prices. I need some extra income but it isn't happening. I've tried to be patient but that's not paying the bills. I would appreciate any and all ideas.

Thanks!!

Re: Stuck in a slump

Honestly your shop looks amazing and your prices are very reasonable. The only thing I see is your titles. Instead of saying your choice of 5 glossy in the begining of title. Say for example. Flower Photo with your choice of 5 glossy........So when people search etsy it will right away. When you say choice of 5 glossy that is not how people are searching. I would go through and type in flower photo etc and see how it appears when you search. I think people just cannot find you. Make sure your tags represent what they are searching for sure or trend like color, 8x10 photo, flower photo, flower, etc. Hope this makes sense. I am still learning too,but when I switched my titles around made a huge difference with traffic to my shop.

Re: Stuck in a slump

I looked at your tags for "Choice of 5 Different 8x10 Animal Photos Glossy or Lustre Prints." I think it would be good to put something like "animal photos" instead of just "animal." When you type animal in the search area, you get 533,268 items... When you put in "animal" only, your items get mixed in with things like fabric and jewelry.
You could try typing in your tags in the search area to see if a lot of items come up. If there are a lot, then people are usually searching for that phrase...but if there are too many items popping up, you may not want to use it because you may not get found as easily.

I also wouldn't lower your prices too much. I don't know what you were selling them for previously, but $7.99 for 5 photos seems like you aren't getting a lot of money for your hard work. I'm not really sure how people usually price photos, though.

Good luck : )
