New to Etsy and need help!

I started my Etsy.com shop in March. Ok Ok so it hasn't been that long. :-)
But, I just don't understand a few things that maybe this team can help me with.
1. I never see my items on the Etsy ipad app. As a matter of fact I can't even search for them. Also I don't ever see my items come up for instance when I click on catagories. There are 100's of 1000's of items but I never see mine.

2. I'm not too sure I get the whole Etsy shipping. I ended up having to go to USPS because my lable would never download. Oh, that is probably another team?

Well, my wonderful Etsy friends. Maybe someone out there has an answer for me???
I am trying very hard to help my shop succeed (and maybe I just don't have enough followers) but I will take ANY advise there is to be had!

Check the pull down box that gives you the most recent listings for your category.use Pinterest wanelo, twitter etc. I'll also look at your shop .

I just looked at your shop. Just for starters ( this will keep you busy for a while). You need to look at your key words and use combinations like vintage kewpie doll or vintage butterfly pin just examples when you add words or phrases to your listed items. Think of what someone would type in if their looking for that item . Your photos are nice and clean.

Just started following, liked your fb page, and faved your shop. What Marybeth said in the above is great advice. The biggest thing is to network like crazy. Follow other shops, fave items, create treasuries and comment on them. Pin your items to pinterest. Think like your shopper what would you type in to look for each item. Good luck love your items I am a sucker for vintage I am going to personally go pin some of my fave items in your shop on pinterest right now.

Marybeth, so I need to add Vintage to my keywords? Does the title not clarify the vintage part? But ok, great I will make sure I add those key words you have suggested.
c Maze, Thank you so much for the Pinterest pins. I haven't looked yet but I will. I DO put everything on pinterest but I don't have alot of followers. I also have put most items to my facebook but.... Oh and I sent out friend requests to fb people but I don't think anyone see's it. Or they're just not saying so.

Two of the biggest things I can recommend are using ALL your tags and photos. Most of your items seem to use most of the photos, but a lot of them aren't even coming close on the tags. This will really help you be found in search, as there will be more options for the searching gnomes to find you by!

Also, I found that I wasn't turning up in searches in the Droid app. I added my shop name to a few of the items as a key word, and that has really helped people looking specifically for my stuff find it while they're using their phones.
