The first thing I would do (and did) is ready the Etsy Do's and Don'ts and as much of the material available all over this web site, like the blogs, newsletters, forums, whatever that you can or have time for. I'm fairly new myself (6 weeks), but I've learned a lot in that time. However, undoubtedly there are folks out there that can give you better suggestions than me. That being said, here's what I would do:
1. You need a banner. If you don't know how to design one, there are many people on this site that will do it for you for cheap to expensive, depending on what you want.
2. Your photography needs to pop. You need more items, that will help shoppers spend more time in your store.
3. Some of your photography is not well lit, but since it's pencil on paper I have no idea how you could go about doing better photographs without washing it out entirely. Maybe someone from the team will jump in on this one.
4. Your Rapunzel item needs to be staged a little better - maybe a little girl wearing it in different poses, so we can see exactly what it's supposed to be and how it's used.
5. Your price points are quite high. I don't know how much it costs you to do a drawing, but in my experience, high dollar items on Etsy don't always move very fast.
6. Participate in teams, events, blogs, everything as much as possible. Promote yourself and your items. Make a Facebook page. All this gets you exposure!
6. Don't give up when the world doesn't beat a path to your shop right away. It takes time, sometimes a long time, to develop a following in many cases. Keep promoting yourself.
Okay, team, what else does Megan need to do? My suggestions are very basic, since I'm a newbie .....
Good luck in your new venture!
