I'm new and feel lost

I need help! I have listed just three items at the moment but I'm not sure how or where people actually see them and my shop. I have browsed through the new listings and even looked through jewellery and pendants but my new items are nowhere to be seen. Have I just missed them or am I doing something wrong?

Hey there,
Cute stuff. The listings are there, but there are lots of Etsy sellers selling very similar items and if you type your tags (keywords you have provided in the listing) in the search engine, there are literally hundreds of pages of similar items.

Try adding tags and keywords that make your item unique.

I think you're going to do great and the advice will come in and you'll learn as you go and it'll be a grand adventure. At least that is what I am learning so far.

I think your necklaces are fantastic. And your pics are good. I think you should have MORE pictures. You can have 5 photos so try to use them all. Do you have unsuspecting models who can stand still long enough for you to photograph between their chin and neckline? Or draped over a hand?

My family doesn't mind helping out with modeling but most don't want their faces shown. My Mom is a fabulous hand model for men's mittens, I've discovered. Who knew?

I'm new too and I'm discovering that there are so many people here that are eager to share and encourage.
Your pendants are lovely. I've also learned that stocking our shops help. I've gotta work on that too!

Thank you for your advice, I will take more photos tomorrow and see if that helps and will think about tag and keywords. I'm sure it just takes time to get used to the way things work. Good luck to you all too x

I'm new and really want to make my first sell. I just don't know what else to do to make this happen . Any advice would be helpful. Thank You

I felt the same way until I made my first sales last night, Amy. I opened shop on Dec. 31 and I was beginning to get antsy, too. I asked the same question on another thread and I felt better when I read that it usually does take a while for that first sell to happen. Most responses were from people who took longer than 2 weeks to make a sell. Adding more items, Facebook, etc. make a difference. Etsy articles and tutorials are great sources of helpful info.
