Honest opinion please

Hello,

Could I please ask for your honest opinion/critique about my shop?
I only started about two weeks ago (although opened the shop in Feb, eh) and I only have 4 items at the moment. I'm in a full time employment and that doesn't leave much time for crafting. I know I have to add more stuff, but have to wait till weekend to take some photos. It's too dark after work.
I will appreciate all tips, and input from other sellers as to how to improve it.
Many thanks
Joolcee

Re: Honest opinion please

Maybe a white background with your photos... Fotofuze is a great free website that will give you this and you can connect to your etsy account too!
Join a few teams and try to advertise a bit more.
Also maybe you can try to make your profile pic an image from your shop because, at least from my view, I wasn't really able to tell what kind of items you sell. Once I clicked on your shop, I saw how adorable your items were!
Keep up the good work and hope all goes well for you! :)

Re: Honest opinion please

Ah, your stuff is cute!
Well, one thing that really jumped out at me is your photos. I don't really care what color the background is as long as it isn't overwhelming, but I would try to keep your exposure and lighting a bit more consistent. I noticed that some of your items looked really washed out in their photos, or were really dim, while others were almost too bright! Now, there are two listings that look good, but are quite different, so I'll let you decide which one to go with, or if you want to do something in between, but:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/109549299/ladies-cream-lace-mini-top-hat-hair
http://www.etsy.com/listing/111650320/large-button-clip-for-women-and-girls
At first glance, these are the most attractive listings in your shop, because they're bright, but not overexposed, and they're high enough contrast to stand out from the background. The second one of course is higher contrast and really pops, while the first is much lower and soft. They're both acceptable aesthetics, so pick whichever works best for you and do it for everything.
Hope this helps!

Re: Honest opinion please

Thank you so much. Yes I definitely have to work on my photos. I think I will try a light-box, came across it on the internet. :-)
