Hi Cindy,
What a great idea you have! It's not something I've seen before on etsy.
Just a couple of points I would make:
- manage expectations. some people wait months before their first sale. I think it's a buyer trust issue with a new shop maybe. Once you get a couple it'll build and build. Maybe get a couple of friends to buy and leave feedback?
- use ALL of your title. Put key words and phrases in there, this will help with your search traffic (e.g. try '50 Dog Chips - dog treat - vegan snack - pet care'). Especially repeat the key words an phrases from your tags
- Use ALL of your tags. If your stuck look for the most successful shops in your field and see what they use
- Give long descriptions. Cover everything a buyer would like to know. How many treats do I get? How much do they weigh? How many should I give my dog? Can I give it to my cat/parrot/husband (delete as applicable!)? Also check grammar and spelling (I noticed you have 'potato' spelt with an 'a' on the end)
- Think about product imagery. Make sure the treats in the photos are PERFECT (e.g. the sweet potato treats look a bit out of shape). Also try and make them as bright as possible as some of yours are a bit dark
- how do you package them? If you wrap them up in a nice bag with ribbon then use that as a picture
- I also noticed you have shipping world wide for a couple of dollars... Is that the actual cost? I would assume it'd be more. Also, are there any import/export laws on food items (places like Australia are VERY picky)
- Finally, I'd look at the number of treats per pack. It looks like your selling pupcakes individually. I live in England, so I would expect to buy a bit more in bulk - so I get one large package instead of lots of smaller ones. Maybe make it an option? pack of 1, 5, 10, 20 etc? Also you've set your quantity in stock to '1' so even if I wanted to buy 50 I couldn't.
Phew! That was a long post! Like I said you've got a great idea, just needs some patience and polishing :)
