What do you think?

I have been on Etsy since late 2010. I make one of a kind jewelry with vintage and new materials. I also sell vintage jewelry and collectibles. I have always had a hard time doing market research given the unique nature of each item. I started playing around with Fotofuze to adjust the background in my photos and I am experimenting with a light box as well. I really want to take my shop up to the next level and get more consistent sales.

Re: What do you think?

Dear Jennifer,

I think you make lovely things. You're telling that you are experimenting with you photos. That might be the clue. When I look at other shops selling jewelry I can see they use other items in the picture to bring the jewelry to life. Make it more magical and sparkling. I advise you to look at this shop: https://www etsy.com/nl/shop/EightAcorns
Hopefully it can help you and bring you some ideas.

Miriam

Hi Jennifer,

First of all - I love your jewelry. It is lovely and you are truly talented. I also noticed you are reasonably priced. I agree with Miriam, your pictures need more color and pop beside a white background.

I wish you the best of luck

Re: What do you think?

I love your shop. You have such unique and beautiful Jewelry! I may have a couple ideas for you that may help. It may sound crazy but it helps a little. With jewelry not everyone knows how to spell it, so in my tags I also put in misspelling of the word jewelry. For example... some people spell it Jewlry, or jewellry. and I have received some hits on the misspelling of the word. The second thing I thought of for your shop is maybe on your meet the owner page.... people love to see the face and artist behind the shop. Maybe add more pics, some of you working on your art work, and some of maybe your art space. (That is something I need to work on too) also If you can get your followers up that may also help you some. I try to favorite at least 150 items a day. Can't always do it but the more the better. I really like your pics with the white background . They seem to make the pics pop more, and it makes them look really clean and fresh. I think everyone struggles with the pictures! I hope this helps a little, and do be patient, it does take a while to get a shop up and running. Happy Sales ;-)
