How am I doing?

Hi, I use to have quite a bit of success with Etsy. This past year though has been terrible. Especially this month!! I can't remember the last time I was "skunked" and today will make 2 days of no sales. I use to average at least 5-8 a day in my slow months and 10-20 on my busy months. I know Etsy is always changing things around to help buyers so now that my shop has plummeted I feel like I might be doing something wrong. How are my descriptions? My Prices? I just bought a Tri Pod so I will be adjusting my photos. Any tips are welcomed. Thank you!

Hello Heidi Jo,

I really like you store. The only thing I would change if it was my store are the pictures (although they look very good). You have different backgrounds for the different items. I would make then the same.

And I have to say that I am really jealous about the amount of sales you have.

Hey Marcel! Thank you! It took me about a year to sell my first item and then another 6 months after that and it just took off like hot cakes... Not this year it has plummeted! I'm not sure if it's because Etsy has changed their search or what. I know at the time I was the only one selling my items now I see them popping up every where :( Since then my sales have dropped by 50%. I know a lot of people say they are slow especially this month. Not sure if it's due to the election or not. (some say that is why, I think it has something to do with all Etsy's problems and changes) I keep trying to tweak my shop here and there. Hoping to start selling again. ---- Working on having all my items with white backgrounds. Thank you for the advice. :) Good Luck fellow Estians

Your shop looks professional and great! I love the photos you have with actual models. Also the ones with a wooden background or plain white. I personally get a little turned off when I see shops use the mannequins or a really shaded, blank background. I prefer a shop to have a bit of difference between their listings pictures, like you currently have. It would feel a bit like looking at the same item over and over if they were all the same background and would get boring. I feel like people would know what to expect and have no desire to go to the next page of listings. I love the variety you have! Hopefully things pick up soon. Good luck!

I am relatively new as well and your shop looks amazing congratulations on the sales it's very impressive. Do you renew your listings often?
Since you have quite a follower base, I think it could help to be top of mind on their homepage just my two cents
