Help Please!

I've only had my shop opened a couple weeks and I know that sales come gradually, but I feel like the traffic to my page is slow. I post on Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook. I would appreciate any critiques - especially in the title area! :)

Re: Help Please!

Hi Anna,

your titles need work!

you are probably not showing up because photography and other "general search" words are in a back of your titles - and your tags are not matching. also - perhaps your photos would be nice in an interior settings.
Its hard to imagine how they would look on my wall with just one posted picture.

Good luck!

M.

Re: Help Please!

I agree with what Marie said above. Plus I would start promoting within Etsy as well. Try to get more admirers. I would add a picture of yourself in your shop, right now it's just the blank Avatar in the "Meet the Owner" section.
I would try different tags like Man Cave, Nature...I don't think anyone is going to search One Drink Behind.
Your photos are beautiful, your shop is set up nicely, keep tweaking and promoting!

Re: Help Please!

Keep tweaking your titles, Especially the names of your prints. If you give your photos unique titles which I see you are trying to do like the Path less Traveled those are words that customers might be searching for something specific but may also help your shop be discovered.

Tags and sections are different. Your photos automatically go into the art category when you select that on your Etsy listing so when your tagging your photos don't use art as a tag because that is basically a free tag from Etsy. Use your keys words in your titles like Path Less Traveled..

Hope this helps a little. It does take a while to get sales but once you start noticing a pattern of what works and what doesn't.
Good Luck!

Re: Help Please!

Hi Anna,

you have lovely print with good prices!

I tried with prints too and I haven't success.

Some of my reasons:

1. The big shops with prints on Etsy have 1000 or more items.

2. Some of them nowadays are trying with prining on mugs or T-shirts.

3. Sorry to say but maybe we have missed the time many people won from prints. Maybe we have to try with new products.

Best wishes to success!

Re: Help Please!

My sales are ticking along now, but took awhile. I did a heap of research. I watched tutorials, read the suggested articles and studied the guts out of anything I could find. It definitely helped. Good luck.

Re: Help Please!

Hi Anna,

You have some nice art work in your shop :o)

Have you thought about add information to you 'About' section, let people know what your art is about/ what inspres you etc,

I also think perhaps you would benefit from adding more pictures, thus giving different angles to the art work you are selling, close ups.

It may also help to run promotions on 1 or 2 of your items.

Good luck adn God bless.

Re: Help Please!

Hi Anna, My specialty is the look of your shop and the initial impact it has for the customer. I like your work and agree that more photos are important, but what I'd like to suggest is that you go back to your first photo being the image with your watermark on it.

If you'd like to show what your images look like framed then include that but there is a concern showing a framed image from the customers' perspective when that is not really what you are selling. (Opinion)

YOUR IMAGES are what will sell your work and consistency on the page and in the presentation I think are important.

Good luck! Laramie
