With that said, most of them have not yet had a sale.

Hi everyone! I just joined the team and am hoping to find some great ways to get my shop noticed. ASplashOGlass posted that she's recently started using EtsyRank.com. Thank you! It's been a great tool. I've found that all of my keywords are ranked Highly Competitive. If anyone has any suggestions on what to do in this case I'd appreciate the input.

I found that by adding (200+ items to my shop) created more opportunities to be seen, which makes sense, and I have also received this same tip from more seasoned sellers (as I have seen in several of ETSY's discussion forum(s).

Wow, this is all such great info. I am new to this team today, I am still learning how all of this works! I will be using all of these tricks. I started doing the promoted listings about 10 days ago and have seen a jump in views and favorites. Looking forward to learning more. Thanks everyone!

Is there a trick to get someone to view your entire shop when they view one of your items? I always find that if I find an item that I like, I view the shop to see more. This isn't the case with my shop and I don't get a lot of shop views.

Laurie, thats a good question. I haven't figured out how to get people to view the shop either. I even tested to see if people look at the home page, by offering a discount code in my shop announcement section and I have yet to see one sale that has used the code!!
I do notice little jumps in shop views when I post on Pinterest though. If you find any other tools that help, please share :)

I've noticed that having links to similar products or different styles of the same products in the item description helps with buyer views. I also include a category link on all my listings.

I have noticed actually joining this team has helped me alot. It's hard cause I work alot but love to do my craft and look at the great items everyone does. I'm hoping this holiday season will be better than last year. Thanks again for the invite

Thank U to whoever invited me. I'm shell crazy. I have been shell crazy for the last 30 years. I haven't found a cure for being nutts over shells yet. So I decided to make a job out of it. This is just a part time hobby job for me. Because I'm nutts about shells. I like to work with rare shells and big pieces of sea glass. The shinier, the better!

Consistency is key. That is what worked for me. Its easy to get discouraged in the first 2 years of opening up your business because nobody cares about your precious shells but you. It hurts. But after two years of marketing on etsy, facebook, pinterest and going door to door to local businesses, the word about your own business and eventually people will take you more seriously. I have not found any secret charm that creates instant success. I'm just persistent to the point of annoyances AND I like shells.

I was reminded of something while reading another person's advise on this thread. You are going to want to keep your old items renewed. For example, I have some necklaces that I originally posted two years ago. I kept on renewing them because I think they are cute. I didn't think anyone else thought they were cute though. Right now one has 300 fav's and it can be found all over pinterest. Not that it matters because I only sold one. However, I noticed that if I delete an item off of etsy and don't renew then the pinterest links no longer connect to my store. Sometimes it take a year for an etsy link on pinterest to become popular. If you delete your item and don't renew then the pinterest link has no where to go. So when it redirects to etsy it goes to a page with your competitor's items. So its best to keep on renewing your etsy items if you are in this for the long haul.
