I've noticed alot of new shops joining the team...this is awesome!
With that said, most of them have not yet had a sale.

Let's help everyone! The more shops that participate, the more helpful this thread will be.

Post one thing that has helped your shop's sales/views.

Hi everyone, I'm new to the team. I've had this shop for quite some time but I probably don't spend enough time promoting it. I've recently relocated to WA state and hope to get back into the seashell/coastal side of things instead of spending so much time in my bridal shop. Some of your shops are great!

I think that editing current listings and listing new items, as well as favoriting other shop owners' items has helped receive more attention to my Etsy store. I'm still pretty new at this, so I'm really always looking for helpful hints from others.

Hello, I am wondering if there is a way to provide coupon codes with Buy one get one type of deals?

Alanna that's a great question! When I've attempted it in the past, it has not worked. To get around it, I just added to my listings that when they ordered 1 the order would automatically be doubled for free.

1 -Learning to take good photos and having a plan to use the 5 allowed photos to best showcase my item. Adding a ruler or holding an item in your hand for size is my 4th photo - the first photo should show the item clearly and invite the viewer to want to see more!
2-proper use of tagging (watch all the youtube videos!
3-promoted listing and knowing how to set your budget.
4 great customer service!

Good Morning and Happy Saturday to Everyone.

I am new to the Team, I just joined this past Thursday. Although I am not new to Etsy I am new to joining a team (this is my 1st) and I am excited and hope that I can be of some help and gain new information from the other team members.

I just love Etsy ! I have found that listing and re-listings daily seems to be almost a must. Usually at least once a day I will try to list or relist a item. I use the Etsy selling app on my I Phone and it makes it so easy.

I also just wanted to say Thank-You for the invitation and Thank-you to Jess for the wonderful information about joining a team.

It takes time for me to stock my items, since in a way it is one of kind. I need to figure out the best photos for me. You might have to change your pictures 4 times, like I do. Also by talking in discussions, I have the most views today period. No one bought and I have 23 minutes left but it is something.

Hi everyone I am new to this team. I have been on Etsy for 3 years and am still learning things.
Here is what I have found
1 Having a large amount of items in your shop
2 Having great photos
3 posting new items often ( daily if possible) keeps you up in the search engines
4 tags, using all of the 13 tags in tour listing is important.
5 joining a team and participating in the discussions.Viewing and Favoring each others items. The more our items are viewed and Favorited the further forward our items will be pulled into the search engines

Hi everyone! I am also new to this team. I don't know if I have much to add that people haven't already mentioned but I'll put in my two cents. :) I have found that as I improved my photos, I began to have more sales. I also have an Instagram business account that I post in. I use it to promote new items or mention sales.

one thing that has helped me is that I try and use all my tags. I also promote like crazy . . .throughout all the teams I belong to and on social media . .
That being said I am going to go and check out some of these new shops :)

Hi I'm fairly new here. I'm trying to get more traffic. I've started redoing pics, joined Instagram n Pinterest hoping that will help. I love doing this and pray I could do this full time since I am very ill.

Work with your titles and tags. I did a lot of homework on sea shell Items. Sea shell art and sea shell décor is some of my top tags. Use all tags. Descriptions Tell all about your item. Make sure you have sizes. If you are a new shop go to the forums and promos there. Good way to get your work seen and get views and Favorites. Wishing all happy sales.

I just joined this group and am hoping that I can learn more to help promote my shop. I opened it last fall and did fairly well thru Christmas, then it just went downhill. I recently opened another shop selling vintage items, ShabbyCandlesAntiques. and another shop owner told me about the teams. I had no idea that there were teams on here. So I am excited about that, maybe now I can get this one going better. I was about to give up on it. Looking forward to communicating with all of you great team members!

Jess thank you for that, a simple thing but I had not thought of that.

I try to handcraft more items but some of the pieces take a lot of time to complete, so aiming for 100 seems unattainable for me at the moment
