Update - Please Read

Hello everyone, This little team I started has gained some traction. We have over 100 members now. I was just inspired by Marks post in the forums when he started talking about the Teams and how they are helping etsy and its members. I wanted to give you a little background on me, my shop, and why I started this team.
I have been on etsy with various other shops since 2009. The "Captain" of this team is me in my original shop Rachinator87. I have since closed down that shop and now use this CustomHempTreasures once I finally found my niche. I started CustomHempTreasures in 2011 and every month is an improvement on the previous month. I am very fortunate that this past august I was able to leave my day job and now etsy is my full time job! It has been a long journey and I have learned so much and I want to help others! Photos, SEO, etsy rules, and the works. I have been here for 4 years and I have been through so many different, difficult and unique situations.
I started this team because I want to help people starting out. When i first started all the critique teams were very very big, it was hard to get a detailed critique and they only did limited things. ALso they were only lead by 1 or 2 people so it only gave their perspective. With this team everyone helps critique so it helps the perspective incase one person misses something. Also I am just a regular etsy member just like you, if you need extra help, or have a question, you can just ask me in a post or send me a convo.
With all that being said, as I described before I am incredibly busy and I would love a co leader to help me run this team. I am looking for someone who isn't overly busy, I don't wanna take away from anyones family time, school time or work time(unless you really want to). I just need someone to help me critique every member that asks. I am requiring that you know some basic SEO things and listing techniques. Please send me a convo to inquire with me if you are interested. I may ask you a few questions and I will let you know when I have decided if you have shown interest. I am looking forward to 2013 and helping everyone that asks getting their stores some sales!

Maybe could you rotate responsiblities out for each day of the week? Maybe 7 Etsy Veterans?

I am honestly not sure how many veterans are part of this team, I usually invite new people. And I can't guarantee what days I am available, would be stinky if something came up for someone and we'd have huge holes :(
ETA: right now I should be making orders but I'm distracted by my awesome team :)

If you're looking for a team leader, I'm your man.... I love working with people, helping them increase their sales and thier exposure. I love sharing ideas and learning new ones while I'm at it.

I don't mind spending as much or as little time working on the task at hand to make everyone around me better and happier, for me it's a reward in itself

Although I can't help more now, next year when I'm retired I'll be able to jump in with both feet :) Anyway, just wanted to say thank you for this.

Patrick congrats on the sales-not even a month in-truly impressive! The photos look great. Perhaps including some of the shelving w/out any deco so buyers can get a sense of it on its own too. The acorns are so cute & lovely gift boxed, a shot with it on a board or other surface so buyers can see how it it'll be used in their life.

Very nice descriptions, but break them up into smaller (digestable) paragraphs. A large block of text could be off putting.

Tags & SEO's -the holy grails, lol
Think about how people will search for your item & then try it yourself. Write down the terms/tags to how you got there then incorporate it into your tags. Very important- where else can the magnets be used-offices, kitchens, teachers classroom, home decor-market there too!
Same idea w/shelving tags- house decor, gardening, organization,etc

The about page is important for telling folks about you & your art-a buyer in the forum today was just saying how she likes & wishes more sellers would create an about page.
Lots of stuff to do-believe me I know, but you really are off to a great start!

Hi Rachel!

I am available to help in anyway needed. I just recently started my own shop, but was working for a woman who has had her shop for almost 2 years now. I have been in retail/sales/creativity all my life, so just let me know where you need some assistance, and I would be more than happy to help.

I am hoping to get my shop to where it is financially sustainable, as I am currently recovering from my 2nd round of cancer, and have recently been declared unable to work a regular 9-5, so this is my only source of income at the moment. It also allows me a great deal of time to promote myself and create, as well as help others grow their business.

I love the team and hope to get to know everyone soon :)
