Keep everything in one store or start a 2nd?

Hi Everyone!

I include different things in my store that I like to do.....stained glass mosaics, furniture, jewelry, & signs...........Should I seperate things or is it ok to leave as is?

Any other insights are welcome!

Thanks a bunch!

Just a personal opinion... But I would start a second shop. The brights that you create are great, but they distract from the rustic wooden items you create.

If I were you, I would make a more rustic shop for these wooden pieces and leave the colored bright woods and stained glass/beading work for your current shop.

Would love to see what you decide on!

I personally did start a second shop, I did that with my hemp and knitting items. But it seems like you have a whole bunch of different items, so maybe keep it all in the same shop but just use your sections.

Hi Danni,

First of all, you are crazy talented! Wow. The stain glass mosaics are incredible.

I was intrigued by your question to open a second store, because I have the same question for myself and my store. Just by looking around Etsy, it appears that shops with a single theme (look and feel) are the most popular.

About your shop and your question:

It is clear that you sell different items, but your shop doesn't look disjointed at all. If I were you, one of the main things I would consider is that you have 29 items in your shop. If you create a new store, you will have about 15 items in each shop - that's not very many items.

Given how much work it is to set up one shop, consider the amount of time it will take to manage two shops and keep those shops stocked with your beautiful items.

For right now, I would stick with one shop. However, if you do decide to create a second shop, I agree with Emma's idea of dividing the items.

Good luck!

Thank all of you for taking the time to write me and share your critiques!

I guess the signs are what I was talking about but I like the fact that if you stop by my store you can see that I am talented in other areas. I can also use my feedback which is nice too!

I agree Danapaperie....It would take more time & more $ and not neccesarily make me more $ :)

Thanks Again!
