It's awfully quiet around here the past couple days...

I'm not sure what etsy has been doing or if it's because it's near halloween, but my views have increased by about 1,000/month. Only one of my current projects is a Halloween costume, the rest are for whatever else. Is anyone else expieriencing an increase in views/sales?

I'm at the opposite end....barely any views. I tried the search ads for a week, only got 22 views from that.

Hmmm. I had decent results from the search ads, but only after adjusting the key words. I guess a lot of people aren't happy with the way thier shop is doing after some of the changes etsy made. I wonder why it works well for some of us and is demolishing views for others?

Oh sure, I go and say how happy I am with my views and then so far today I've only had 65. Guess I spoke too soon. lol I hope it changes. I usually get most of my views at night, so I'm curious to see what I'll end up with.

Just created an Etsy page, newbie here. I really like the Teams. Helps you connect with like-minded people. Any tips on maximizing Etsy exposure?

Welcome Kent! I think I could write a novel on how to gain exposure lol For me social networking is a biggy. When I first started I also participated in shop ads. Personally I like them, but they get mixed reviews.

Whenever I see an ad or commercial for that show, I think that ok should watch it... but then I never do. I wonder if any of the episodes are available online, I'd be more likely to watch it that way.

I always forget when it airs. But the few times I have caught it, I was able to pick up some great pointers!

I watch it on youtube. I freakin love that lady! It's so informational..and sometimes fun to make fun of because it's so "Mr.Rogers" lol I used to like that painting guy with the afro too. Can't remember what the show was called. It was cool how fast he could paint stuff...and also lot's of fun to make fun of. Love those corny shows!

I also like the sewing catalogue called Nancy's Notions. They also advertise Nancy's sewing shows in there. They have lots of wonderful fabric and sewing items, it always gives me more ideas on items to make.

Omg...I drool over the Nancy's Notions catalog! I get so excited when it comes. I circle everything I want and leave it laying around open to different pages for my boyfriend to see. Luckily he's nice and gets the hint :)

So, hurricane Sandy is supposed to hit today and I may be without power for several days. Any other New Yorkers here in the team? Or anyone in the way of the storm whether it has already hit you or will soon hit? I live upstate right in between the two biggest Finger Lakes, and less than an hour away from Lake Ontario, but I truly feel sorry for the city dwellers. Yuck....
I AM prepared though! I always have a stock of at least a months worth of food and water for my family in my basement, plus other survival supplies.

Nancy Zieman is pretty great! I've been completely neglecting my shop to make stuff for my shop. Does that even make sense? My one year old is hitting me...
