Post Your Favorite from Above Shop

This is a new game. It's taken from another group and it's called "Post Your Favorite Item From The Shop Above". Someone starts the game by going to my shop and choosing your favorite item, then posting it in the reply below. The next person to get on this thread goes to YOUR shop and does the same thing.

Be sure you Favorite the item before posting as well as follow the shop/fav the shop if you have not already done so!

I've been thinking...always a dangerous pursuit. Don't get me wrong, read this with an open mind. I have been wondering just how much good (if any) is accomplished by all the willy-nilly favoriting. Doesn't it cause misleading numbers in our stats? I have quite a few items that have been favorited and don't even have any views! How can someone honestly favorite something without even looking at it? It seems to be just a "you favorite mine and I'll favorite yours", but what does that gain anyone except skewed numbers? I want to help other shops and appreciate any help someone extends to me, but I wonder if we are really doing each other any favors by all this. False favorite numbers for an item disguises favorites that the item legitimately warranted when someone viewed it and liked it. I want honest stats so I will know how and where my shop stands, which items honestly earned a favorite, etc. Including an item (from a shop) into a treasury is different (if it honestly is a favorite of the treasury creator), and helping a shop by linking to it, etc. is fine, but I wonder about favoriting individual items just for the sack of having "favorites" show up on it.

Michy, i think, from i am getting from the teams with this little tid bit, is it does help generate "advertisement" so to speak on others shops. most people show on their shop what stores and items are their favorites, their customers may look at that and find something from one of us then. etc... it is a domino effect for us all. also, when someone favorites one of my things or my shop (although it seems it is a one way street for me, maybe cause i'm new?) i will gladly look at their shop and reciprocate the gesture... it generates a wider audience for everyone. hope that helps you understand, it is like a marketing technique
