Question? What is a good app for creating a treasury [on an iPad]? I had one and it crashed. Can't seem to find one in App Store.
--------------------
This is the only one for ios, and unfortunately it costs $9.99:

I couldn't live without Google Snapseed, it's a fantastic photo editor for all levels. I use it for personal photography as well as product photography. A lot of people can't tell they're taken on my iPhone!
And 'Typorama' is a good one for adding text to photos, I use it to make ads or mini posters for Instagram 🙂

Great tips... keep them coming!

I use Yamera. It is a camera app. Why another camera when my iPad already has one? My iPad photos in the white booth aren't coming out well. Yamera (and there are others) allow you to set the white balance, focus and exposure. Very handy, and Yamera was free.

Zelodius, I loaded Snapseed and Afterlight (small fee) but haven't used them much. If iPad's edit program won't do what I need, I have been using an app called Photo Editor.
---------------------------------
What about shop graphics?

I used Canva for our team graphic on my iPad. Nice and simple.

It's not really an app, but rather a plug-in for Google Chrome on your PC:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/etsy-favorites-cleanup/hhnmhhkkmdjccfloclmpgkoolebdpgpd?hl...

"Etsy Favorites Cleanup" $2.99/year. Click once and unfave a whole page. Worth every penny of the $3 for those of us who have OCD about cleaning out our favorites, haha.

There are a couple of free ones from the developer (can be checked out under the "related" tab). One is for clicking (opening) many items at once for "clickathons." It does not work on incognito pages, which is how I would use it.

There is another for $15 that is "unfave/fave" a whole page at once. Handy if you do a lot of that.
-------------------------------------------------------
On a related subject:

Etsy relevancy cares about "recent activity" and not number of hearts on an item. JFTR : ) That's the reason for the unfave/fave so that even on items that are already favorited, they get unhooked, so to speak, and rehooked. The re-favoriting is considered "recent activity."

Of course, nowadays, Etsy supposedly can tell where the activity comes from and penalizes, to a degree, favoriting and clicking directly from team threads. So some teams have developed clicking and favoriting games that are more "organic."

End off-topic ---------------------- : )

Thanks for that plug-in info, Joanne! Also, where does the info come from re how Etsy views clicking and hearts and penalties, etc.? Very interesting!

Kris, it is comments like this:

Cindy from cindylouwho2 says
Favouriting items outside of search & browse is not really helping anyone's relevancy ranking. It may provide a small SEO benefit, as being well linked within a site is considered to be a sign of an important page, but I honestly don't think that the benefit is worth the time (not to mention worth cluttering up your own faves for) I am not sure why people waste their time on those things, but it's none of my business anyway.

Remember, even if you artificially inflate clicks on an item, **once it rises to the top it won't stay there long unless people continue to click it.** If your item is already so clickable, it should already be ranking well. It is not necessary to game the system (& from what I understand, it only works for short period of time anyway.)

Where I added the two stars, Cindy Lou states that recency of favorites is necessary to keep up the relevancy.

Many teams tell you to unhook and then rehook favorites. To make the favorite more recent.

Team favorites are weighted *less* >not< *unweighted* so they still count, just less. (No one knows how much less.)

There's more to support the recency/relevancy but I have to find it : )

Back to apps... Have issues with inventory? Apparently there is an app for that:

(Adding this interesting post from another team)

I am using a new app call Inventory Management. I use my tablet for that. Is made to keep inventory of our house. But instead of rooms I enter spots on my Etsy room. Allows me to take a picture of the item and write notes that I use to enter the wight and size to calculate the shipping. For example. Left rack, top shelf. Or closet, pink bin.

You can choose to send the file to the cloud and they send you a printable list to your email. I don't think I want my inventory in no cloud though, lol.

Anyway, is the best app I found FREE so I can find where my stuff is when Is sold.

Because I have more than one shop on the "brand/store" entry I write the store name that belongs to.

I make it work, I guess. Still learning.

I love WordSwag (I use it on my iphone -- but surely it works for iPads too?) for quickly adding artsy looking words & phrases to my photos to post on Instagram and other social media.

Michi, I'm sorry, I misread your question... Yamera and the other camera app for android are cameras for the device, not for adjusting photos (what I call "post production").

Snapseed might do it, though. I have it installed but I haven't used it much. I'll be traveling tomorrow; I'll try to remember to try it and get back to you.

Michi, snapseed is a wonderful editing app!
There is an online tutorial that is fairly easy to follow.

Sellers sometimes protect their images with watermarks. Did you know that there are invisible watermarks? They, of course, would be less visually invasive. From the forums:

"Invisible watermarks are added to an image by an image editing program with that capability. The image is modified in the file structure to contain the watermark in a way that cannot be seen on screen. The image editor can also detect a watermark in an image. So the editor is used to both mark images and detect or display marks. Photo Shop and Paint Shop Pro can do this and some others I'm sure."

I Googled it and there are phone apps for this.
