Some sellers report that their item links don't work for buyers:

"On Etsy app--- Etsy links within a listing do not go to the correct listing, They go to the homepage/first page."

It can be a big issue and has been going on for a while.

Here is one report:

"I also get numerous questions from buyers using the mobile ETSY app asking if I have an item in a different color. The link to "coordinating items" and "looking for a different color" items is in the description area -- many listed at the top of the description area. They say when they click they keep getting sent back to my homepage -- that the link doesn't work. 😞 "

Etsy admin says that they are working on it but don't have an ETA yet.

I think it's this same Etsy bug that means that buyers using mobile devices may not be able to view full item descriptions.

Excerpted from the above link:

"I just had a question from a potential client today, that she cannot see the full description of a product on her phone app. Its alot of needless convos as this happens to be a busy time shopping for buyers and sellers..."

It makes more sense to me why people using the app ask seemingly dumb questions. Possibly they aren't to blame so much...

I can't attach photos (easily) to convos using my iPad. Apparently you can't add pictures to your listings, either...

Suddenly I am unable to like items on Etsy and have them show up,on my Facebook page with my iPad, but I can with my iPhone. I have checked and reset settings on iPad and then face book. I used to be able to hit the like button on a listing and my Facebook link would pop up for me to add a comment and then post. After that quite loading up I went to the top of my screen and hit the up arrow in the box. That let me post for a while but now it won't' work using my IPad.
Any suggestions would be great! Thank you!

Patsy, the first thing I do when having issues is to delete the app and reinstall it. Select the app button and just hold it down until they all jiggle. Then push the little "x."

After that, Google "Etsy Seller App" and reinstall. See if that doesn't do the trick!

Your welcome, Patsy!

I've reinstalled the app on both iPads in the past week or 10 days. I had no pictures (they were "blank") for listings and updates. Then the seller app couldn't find my items <<shaking head>>.

All that was corrected by deleting and reinstalling.

I am so happy to have my Facebook posts from My Etsy shop working once again. Actually what I did, accidentally LOL, tried to like an item on Etsy that I saw while on Facebook. The sign In Page came up saying I needed to log in to Etsy by using Google or entering my email or user name and password to Etsy.
Sometimes navigating on the Internet is like being in Alice and Wonderland!

Okay, I am still not able to load Facebook link from my shop when I log into it through Safari! It starts to load, blue lines how's about an inch on top of the page then it stops.
Is that still an App issue? I'll be deleting and starting again.

So I was having an iPad issue last night. My screen kept getting "stuck" and slow. I powered it off and back on and it got better.

Just making sure we are covering all of the bases : )

When the app starts working poorly, I delete it and reinstall. Just did it on both machines, in fact...

The iOS Seller app has an issue with Shop Updates: trying to select an existing image will crash the app. Taking a new photo works normally.

We are working on a resolution now and will update soon.

Hi. I've been a member of this team a long time, but mostly while about my issues in the forums, where the admins are truly less than helpful. I've been having this issue off and on for ... 2 years. I'll create a listing, add photos, hit continue and nothing. I get the saving you listing screen, loading 5photos, 0% complete. It never completes. I have to close the app, losing all the work I did and start again, on my phone. It drives me crazy. I think at sell on Etsy just doesn't function on iPad. I frustrates me that when I use my iPad I'm always risking just wasting my time. That seems to be only issue I have with my iPad, photos. Sometimes I can't get to my photos, sometimes I only see a few photos, sometimes they just won't load and I lose all my work. Does this happen to anyone else? Thank you.

Sarah, I have issues on and off with the sell on Etsy app working on my iPad. About once per month I delete and reinstall the app on each iPad. That seems to make it better... for a while...

When it acts up again, I delete and repeat.

Have you tried reinstalling the app?

oh yeah. I've signed out and back in, deleted and reinstalled, over and over. I've posted about this recurring problem on the forums but they deny that it exists or that it's been a continuing issue. I told them they were wrong (I'm always right! HAHA). I haven't checked to see if they responded to that but really, it just doesn't matter. They obviously don't care enough to fix it and it annoys me too much. Maybe if I just set a date on my calendar that recurs every month and delete it and reload I won't have that problem, as often anyway. Thanks for the feedback Joanne.

You're welcome, Sarah... I'm so sorry you have had to deal with this for so long!

My recurring issue with the iPad and the Sell on Etsy app is that it can't find all of my items... when items go missing in my shop I know it's time to reinstall.

My only other thought would be the age of your device. Late models work better. I'm having issues with my PC. 6 yrs old and due for replacement I think...

I sure hope that it starts working better for you!
