Wooden ladder in show display?

I have purchase an old wooden 6' ladder to encorporate into my display for my big Christmas market. I have that and my table (standard size) for my 8"x7" space.

Just trying to wrap my head around configuration.

I will have my whiskey stones and flasks on the table.
thinking of adding some burlap to the top portion of the ladder to hook/hang the belt buckles and bottle openers and then create some lower shelf space on the ladder for my beer and wine caddies and my grill stones (not see in my etsy shop)

anyone ever used one before?
How low is too low to display items?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Wooden ladder in show display?

I have ladders that my DH made, but they have rope sides instead of wood, and can roll up for transport.
We usually hang them on the sides of the booth to increase display space.
I have found if you go much below table height on the rungs, people don't look. They will look up more than down.

Re: Wooden ladder in show display?

As far as how low, I would be careful with anything near the ground. Not only because people may not look down, but also because it could easily get bumped if you have a lot of people in your booth at once. We use folding bakers racks but put seasonal decorations on the bottom shelves, rather than product.

I do like the idea of the ladders. Brushcreek, do you have pictures of what you use?

Re: Wooden ladder in show display?

If you go to my Etsy About page, the first picture, on the left of the picture, inside of the tent, to the left of the zebra rabbit skins, you will see one with sheepskins hanging on it.
They are 4 feet wide and he sanded and varnished the " rungs.
Then drilled holes through them and put the rope " sides " on.
You have to make a knot in the rope on either side of the rung to hold it in place.
When I do inside show, I use a Easy up frame and bungie the ladders to the top of the frame, That way we can hang a variety of items- sheepskins, Celtic throws, slippers, etc.
We also have 2 pairs with wooden sides.
One we use in an A frame, where the top sides bolt together- for my yarn, and one that the 2 ladders hinge together.
You can see the last one on the second picture on my About page. In the very from right. one side has sheepskin slippers on it, the other sheepskins. It is bungies to the leg of the Easy up.
