I have a tictail shop. It's super easy except the shipping part needs improvements.

I tried Tictail. I was impressed and it is free but it was not the right fit for me as I needed a site designed for more product.

for me please know I have tried all these sites out so I have at least some knowledge. I do feel there are some minor drawbacks on them all but that will always be the case. There also ore certain positive aspects of each. None of them are losers.

The shipping on Tictail is an issue with some.

I do not suggest using the paid Aps on Tictail they are overrated andway to expensive.. stick with the FREE part.

Hi Jerry, yes tictail seems easy enough to use but I'm thinking about following Bob's thread on building my own site but will stay with tictail until it is ready.

How does one close their Tictail store? I'm tired of all the random sites and I want to go back to just Etsy and my personal site.

I wanted to drop the tictail extension ($1.50/month), but they said they wouldn't accept my Visa debit card. Had to be a 'credit' card. No PP either.

How do ya go about checking the traffic to your tictail shop?

Since you have access to the HTML of the page, can you add the Google Analytics to the page? It might not give you access to the HEAD portion so I'm not certain.

ETA: Tictails internal visitor count is awful so I'm guessing there's a pay to use widget that would give you detailed stats. That's the main reason I wanted to close my shop. All decent functionality had to be paid for with a monthly subscription and it's pretty spendy.

Yes the visitor count is pretty terrible and gives no real information. That and the shipping part really suck.

This is a crazy question but I know you can do so much with links and hTML...

I wish Tictail had a friendlier inventory/editing system (like they have none lol)I wonder if it would be possible to direct buyer from one store on Tictail to another to check out, I have 2 stores there one I am not using...

if I could send my checkouts to sistermoonscastle and use that shopping cart, that would split the inventory up....
I know :) crazy question.....

My tictail site views are really picking up! I SO wish I had better inventory // editing control...I think I am gonna start bugging on them.

lol I really like that site and it is starting to do well for me....I keep thinking if I knew html better I could do something more with the site

How can you make your Tictail banner bigger? Mine loads the right size, but they resize it smaller when you save it.
I looked at my html but cannot find where to add/change the size.
Can someone help with this? thanks!

Bookishkind, I got instructions on this team on how to do that...too bad you can't search teams! We had a tictail thread started with all kinds of tips and help it would be WAY back in the threads, maybe Jerry would know where that thread he seems to be quite organised...
