Hi everyone! I thought it would be nice to open some new topics and close some old ones. So let's use this one for introducing ourselves. We have so many spots to promote our items, but so few to get to know each other a little better.

How about you go first?

Where are you from? What brings you to Etsy? Is this a hobby, your day job, or maybe a shared business with someone? Children, pets, crazy food habits? We want to know it all!

Re: Introduction thread. Say hi!

Hello everyone! I'm new to Etsy. My shop is purplecatzcrochet. I make crochet items. I'm a stay at home mom to a 14 year old and a 4 year old. I'm happily married for about 18 years. I started crocheting when I was pregnant for my oldest but didn't take it seriously for years. I started making prayer shawls for my mother in law's prayer shawl ministry and got hooked. I have been learning and challenging myself for a few months. I'm starting off as a hobby but hope to be able to do it as a part time job as I grow. Have a great night!

Re: Introduction thread. Say hi!

Hi Elizabeth, nice to meet you ^_^

It's awesome that you've just opened your Etsy shop!
I can totally relate to getting hooked, before I got into felt I was totally addicted to crochet! (unfortunately I got an achy wrist, so I can't crochet much anymore) Do you have a ravelry account?

There are lots of crocheters here on Etsy, I'd definitely browse around to see what makes them successful: what kind of titles & tags they use, how they style their pictures, that sort of thing!

Good luck and welcome to the team!

Re: Introduction thread. Say hi!

Thank you Lily for your great advice. I plan on doing exactly what you mentioned. Right now I don't have a lot of time but when things settle down I want to put more effort into my shop. I do have a revelry account but I haven't done anything there. Do they do more than patterns?

Yep, ravelry does more than patterns. They have teams too! I'll send you a direct message about it ^_^

Hello everyone and thank you CAPTAIN for the acceptance.

I am Kelly, I come from beautiful GREECE and I recently open my shop here on etsy.

I am fun of many diy projects and passionate in making jewelry and many more.

I am staying at home raising my son because my parents live away from my home town and I don't have any help.

I am trying to sell my goodies. I hope you like them.

I am happy I am among other moms and people who love creating.

I wish you all many sales.

Re: Introduction thread. Say hi!

Hi everyone,

I'm Bridget from The Rose's Light. I make handmade jewelry inspired by mythology and magic.

My store has been open for over six months now, and I've been trying to figure out how to succeed as a store beyond hobby-level. It's been a learning curve for me, but I've enjoyed it.

Hi Everyone

I create beaded jewellery on a part-time business. Just completed the first year of my Etsy shop, still learning how to take photos and get visibility.

Re: Introduction thread. Say hi!

Hi There. I'm Kathie. I do a lot of sewing, embroidery, and a few odds/ends with sewing and embroidery, including some clothying. I'm looking to getting more views and lots of sales with reasonably priced items. Right now, I do a lot of 18" doll clothing. But, keep looking through my shop, there are other things, too.

I'd like my things to be enjoyed by all.

Re: Introduction thread. Say hi!

I am computer illiterate, too busy making, listing, photographing and trying to sell jewelry. What is a thread?

Re: Introduction thread. Say hi!

I'm new today. Happy St. Patrick's Day! I love all things vintage, and love to add to my shop as often as possible. Even if there wasn't an Etsy, I would still be enjoying this, so it all comes together quite well! Glad to be a member of this team! :)
