Paper Flower Making

I really want to learn how to make pieced-together paper flowers. While I think I know this much: I need punches to punch out the leaves and petals, I need to know all the rest from all you experts out there (or whomever has any useful tips). I am open to info on all the tools I need, maybe a good online tutorial, etc. Also, what type of scorer (size/brand) should I get? Thanks in advance to all who post. :)

Re: Paper Flower Making

So far you are on the right track. I would use punches for the petals and leaves and you can use a tiny hole punch in the center of the flower and put a cute little brad in the center, that will hold the flowers together if you are using more than one color flower or if you are using only one color, that will make your flower look more interesting. for the stems you could just cut a strip of paper, then attach the leaves. You could add sticky foam to the back for dimension as well.

There are soooo many directions you could go with this. It really depends on what you are trying to accomplish. I dont think you would need a scorer for making flowers, but if so, the Martha Stewart scorer is a good one. I have one. I use it for cards, envelopes and boxes thus far. They sell them everywhere. The most you'll pay is 20 bucks, plus if you get from Michaels, AC Moore they have 40 percent of weekly coupons.

You Tube is EXCELLENT for tutorials: you can find anything you need to know about crafting. I live on this site!!!
Type in- How to make paper flowers. You will be fine from there.
