I'm kick starting the get to know each other thread. Please respond and then check back in to see/meet new members.

Connection: Ancestry - Grandfather was born in Glasgow before emigrating to Canada; I moved to Scotland in 2002.

Re: What's your Scottish Connection?

Hi

Connection: I'm Scottish born and bred and now live in south Argyll.

Craft: I design and make a range of Harris Tweed products.

Unfortunately, I've had to let my Etsy shop lie fallow for the last year whilst I built up other sales channels which is why I haven't been active in the team discussions. However, I'm going to start building it up again at the end of the month and will, hopefully, have lots to show you.

In the meantime you can find me on my FB page - www.facebook.com/thelittlestitchcompany

Re: What's your Scottish Connection?

Greetings:

I was born in USA. My mother has scottish ancestors with Clan Bruce. My father has ancestors from Clan McTavish. Plus, my husband has cousins from Clan Macpherson. We are members of the Clan Macpherson Association. During the spring and summer, we attend the various highland games in the area. Doing our best to keep the Scottish way of life -- alive and well.

NDSB, I always pictured you as being the person in your photo. *S*

The Macpherson's have a great shop/ museum at Newtonmore on the way to Inverness. If you ever get to visit, you should take it in.

Brenda:

I am very much aware of the Clan Macpherson museum at Newtonmore. Also, of the various items that are on display. I have also had the pleasure of meeting our wonderful Chief (Sir Cluny). The clan is blessed to have him as our leader.

Re: What's your Scottish Connection?

Hi! Born and bred in Central Scotland, never had the urge to move anywhere else lol.

So far I've made a Stewart tartan pinafore which I love! And 2 tartan styled tutus for the Kilt Walk which were great fun to do x

Re: What's your Scottish Connection?

Hello all.

Born in Scotland (Just outside Glasgow). I have lived near the Campsie Hills most of my life and have no urge to move away from them. If anything I have been getting as close to them as I can!
My great great grandpa apparently made Tartan in the good old days in Skye.
I on the other hand make jewellery but love doing lots of other crafty things in my spare time. So much inspiration in the Scottish countryside!
