How to increase sales

I have more than 100 visitors a day but no sales. Does anyone had such problems? May be bad photos, description or high price? Please, share your experience

I’m new too. Have no Facebook only Instagram. I expect sales will be far and few. But God loves a trier. So I’m having a go. I’m a bit stuck with postage costs. I’m trying to sell my crafted jewellery on Izajueli if anyone wants to view and tell me if it looks ok.

Bravo for trying! When You are new it helps if you tell people on the ground about it, so you drive traffic to your shop. Even though I have been on Etsy since 2009, I did very little and I feel very new. I had my share of problems getting started again. then setting my prices and getting photos in. It gets easier though, especially setting up shipping. I have sent one of my Scarves to B.C, so now I know what it cost. For the larger items, I am guessing. If it is more I may lose a little. It can easily be adjusted for the next order. Then there is setting prices in US, coming out too High in CAD. Adjusting again. But at least I am there. I will find your shops and am looking forward for your feedback.
Etsy shows up on Googlle pretty well instantly, so that is encouraging.

Maybe offer a small discount (or something to that affect) that’s if they make a purchase ( ____ ) fill in the blank on what kind of purchase), while at the shop at that time. A one time offer maybe? I haven’t even got my Etsy shop created yet but thinking as in my other physical shops and/or other online buy/sell groups...if there’s a way to hook them in while there and but, then that’s what I would try to do. However I’m not sure if there’s a way to see or know if that’s their first time viewing the shop. All in all tho, if there’s a way to get them to shop...right then and there, then a discount or ANY sort of incentive would in my opinion be the way to go.

I also think the problem is finding in Etsy search. Сompetition and low prices of some sellers. I have the feeling that they deliberately lower the prices of their goods. Hand crafted items needs so much time! How "fully handmade embroidered!!! jacket" can costs $25 or even $30. To embroidery small panel (for exaple 19-19) needs approximately two weeks! And $30!!! Are you joking?!
In fact better photos and beautiful banner can attract buyers.

I just looked at your art...everything is beautiful...I just think all is in the moment fashion and perhaps stuff that is cheap and targeted for the teen might dale more...I don't know anymore. ..I wish to know I we can promote are stuff on Etsy....just to give it a boost...

Dear tamar, you could't find your products because you have searching words in your title and tags. You have very special and beautiful bags. Add more words in your title. Imagine that you're buyer and wants to find a bag.... For example, shoulder bag, tote, evening bag, leather bag, etc...

Hi, i was wondering if anyone could help-

Almost one year now , 2000 views and not a single sale. I am not sure if it the product that nobody likes . Could it be the price? Although all the products are half the price of similar ones on other sites. Can i blame etsy as i keep paying the monthly fees and only hear from them when they are due?

The shop will be adding a new domestic range next week. We are making new samples and finalizing the look and texture. We also need to get the price down as the present shop has had a lack of both visitors and orders. I must be on to a new record🤩

I need to blame somebody here so if you can think of either a reason for this dismal failure or better still a scape goat! I would be glad to hear from you

I think each and everyone of us id doing great! We have to bo patient and maybe change prices a little bit if you dont put lot of money in your product. I personally think that if you spend a lot of money for your product you have to sell it at a higher price of course. You just need that target market that will purchase item. Like with me for example, I sell handmade jewelry and some of my products are cheap to make some are not. And i dont want make cheap jewelry and sell it a higher price. But some people would prefer the cheap material. I guess it depends on the customer. Another thing i noticed is really important to have is the adward (Ad) on top of your page / store which attracts more customers so when they write for example, Birthday Decor , it pops out right away on top those who have this . I hopw this was helpful

Thank you @Milla for starting this thread, really amazing embroidery in your shop :) . I am also very new to Etsy and learning how best to promote my store. I have started by sharing the link to my shop with friends and that has helped because they have provided some useful feedback. However, no sales yet. I am wondering if my prices are too high but not sure how much lower I can go given the cost of making each item. I have also recently started using Pinterest. John Thomas O’Farrell - hello! I am a US based Etsy seller here in Ireland on holiday, so was browsing the Etsy teams while waiting for my plane. Here is some feedback I would offer for your shop... first, you have very nice products, well-photographed, priced reasonably and shipping is great at least for the US market. I see two things that are likely hurting you that I would offer as considerations for changes that could help your shop. The very biggest ones is that your titles, and possibly also your tags, are not broad enough for your items to show up on searches. Etsy calls this SEO (search engine optimization). Your listings are keyed by the phrases that you lost in your titles and tags so that when someone searches for products by entering a phrase, your items come up when one of the phrases you entered matches what the customer did. For example, on your rustic metal table, in both title and tags you should have industrial, timber, wood, reclaimed, etc so that searches bring you up. Check your competitors’ tags, easier to do if you are using a laptop or desktop rather than a mobile device. Do a search for metal table, then hover your mouse over the photo on a competitor’s listings and you will see a bunch of words or phrases they used. The last 13 of those are item tags that can be used. Consider those that fit for your items and use them. There are lots of materials out there on the web about Etsy SEO that will help you. I would pass by any item that required me to call to find out how long it would take to build. You are better off selecting a longer time like 2 weeks in the listing, and making it faster than that if you could. You have competitors who are more expensive that people are choosing likely because they are easier to find in search, and the buyer has at least a feel for approximate shipping timeframes.

Agatha - your art is beautiful! I actually think you have priced your items too low. I have found that people interpret the item price as indicating the quality of the goods, so if the price is low then they are afraid that it may be low quality. When I raised my prices, I saw an almost immediate increase in sales. I would suggest looking at some shops that are competitors in your product range and doing well, then modeling your prices after theirs. Also, Etsy promoted listings can really help. You can set a Low bid price - say 5 cents, with a max of $2 a day, and still get good results. You will appear higher in the searches which will really help while you get your first customers and reviews

Hello Everyone 😊! I opened my Etsy Shop in December 2017. I make Handmade Jewelry. I am beginning to get more traffic but I need some suggestions on how to improve my shop presentation to generate more sales? I do try using SEO and Tags but I'm not sure how effective this is? I also use Social Media to share my listings. I have also done price comparisons but the competition in this market is high; so I set median prices but this could also hurt, if the perception is that the product is cheap and not of good quality?

Any Input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated 😊!
