Just curious if there are any work at home moms making a full time income off of their etsy shop? If so, any tips for those hoping to achieve a full time income with their shop? I really want to grow my shop so I can quit my part time job (late nights in a bakery and then up with kiddos all day = sleep deprivation!!), and I would love to hear advice!! How do you manage time with the kids, keeping up the house and everything else that goes with having a family all while working from home? :)
I am not making enough to be considered full time, but between selling on etsy and eBay, I do make enough to pay my bills. It is all about networking. I have found that networking and pricing things right are the key.
My mother has been selling on here for 2 years and just now is at the point where she is able to support herself. It takes time.
I took a leap of faith and quit my full time job in order to focus more on the business. So far it has paid off. I did it with money in the back to carry me through.
Managing time with my kids.....hmmmm. I work when I can and I don't when I can't. My husband is home for the summer, so that helps to take care of the children when I need to get things done. I also hire people to help me with the cleaning. I pick up the house daily and I try to keep things organized. I would recommend getting a helper or babysitter for certain times during the day, so that you are able to work without being interrupted by children.
What do you mean by "networking"? I am always on here posting, sharing, teams, ect. And things are still slow. Can you please share, how to make this hobby I love pay my bills, or heck, just give enough money, to help pay bills? Thank you, Sharon
I agree with Sharon, for those of you that keep commenting networking would you care to explain a bit more in detail what you mean by networking to those of us that have tried everything in our arsenal of tricks and still have low views/sales Thanks in advance for all input
I'd love to hear about networking too! I took the leap of faith and stopped working my full time job to be at home more with my 2 year old daughter and to pursue the business I always wanted but never had enough guts to fully start. I am here now and excited. I look forward to the input and I pray all those reading this has much success with their etsy shops! :-)
