It is a variety of Quartz- Manganese or Iron can produce pink-ish- color in Quartz---depending on the concentration and the valence of the impurity----

Same in Aragonite, although usually Iron compounds---you need an XRD to determine the proper element included and the ratio of atoms to SiO2

A nice 2 colored 'star' of Aragonite--one side is purple, the other brown--

and a nice Aragonite single DT crystal in Gypsum matrix---
