Who is applying for Renegade SXSW show?

It is pricey (I've appled for a 1/2 booth). Let's keep in touch w/whoever gets in and maybe we can have a Etsy get-together!

I worked a SX Renegade booth for friends and talked to a number of vendors. I don't think the show went well for many people. Especially those who had to travel long distances to get here. SX is a terrible time for locals to do anything in the city and the festival goers are mostly interested in drinking and seeing shows. Plus, all the people who were supposed to walk through the fair in order to get to the SX events were let in thru a back gate instead. It was ridiculous.

Thanks for the input. I was afraid of it going poorly. I have several friends in Austin and SX is basically a joke now. Most attendees blow all their money getting there, and save the rest for booze. Too bad for the vendors. Hopefully the Renegade peeps don't team up with SX again.

The drive for me is pretty long- about 15 hours. I don't mind doing it because I could never fly with so many clothes. But the booth fee almost doubling for the supposed extra traffic SX would bring, it was too great a risk for me to take. In theory, I completely understand the logic of teaming with such a huge event. Too bad.
