Re: This makes interesting reading
Thanks for sharing this! I've only just had a chance to sit down and read it, it's been a busy couple of weeks!
It's good that they've shown the different options for website owning. I personally own my own domain and pay for hosting, which at the moment only hosts images for me, but a website is slowly being built. I am lucky that I have a husband who is a computer programmer so he can build my website for free, but the downside is that it can only be done in his spare time, so it takes awhile to get done!

Re: This makes interesting reading
I'm in the same boat re : free website by the husband. After a while I dropped the idea of having my own e-commerce site there, though, he just doesn't have enough time to develop and maintain it. I can play around witth the rest of the settings, but for the web-shop, it just had to be as easy to use as Etsy, otherwise there was no point in it.

I know what you mean, Martha. Selling on Etsy has helped me work out what I want my store to be like - the features I like and what I don't! I fear though that by the time I get my site up and running we're going to then have to design a mobile version!

I agree it does take a lot of time to get a website looking just how you want. I am no IT tec, but with a lot of reading I feel we have managed to get our website looking the way we want. There is a lot of helpful reading out there on the web if you want to give it a go yourself
