What is going on with Etsy?

Hi, I have been doing this selling for a while. Since 2013. The last two months I have spent more than I made.

I am so sad about this because it has been such a great outlet for my creativity.

What are some of you going to do? I have quite a bit of inventory and it is going to be a huge issue if I have no where to sell.

I am wondering if there is another outlet?

Do you think Etsy cares? Sometimes I wonder. ......

So hard to be a small shop in the big sea of companies.

Jane - I agree with you - my sales have dropped off tremendously this past year - as soon as Etsy started making constant changes - some good - others not so much - I think customers are tired of trying to figure out the newest / latest navigations. I have temporarily closed my other shops for lack of activity - moving that inventory back into my original shop. Sorry I couldn't offer more optimism - but this is way I see it!

Hello ~ I have been selling on Etsy since 2011. There have always been ups and downs. Use your down time to create new stock and product lines, fill up your shop with more inventory, do some social media promoting. I have down times, too, but when I look at my shop over time, there has always been steady growth. Slow and steady. Don't give up!

I'm still learning a lot of quirks. I'm finding, for me that I need to be persistent to get the sales going. Of course, it'd be nice if I made sales all of the time. But, I know better. Have any of your tried selling in your local fairs, vendors, christmas shows, etc, too?
