Hi Carolyn -

Not from the 1940s. The only opaque Pyrex produced in the 40s were the older primary bowl set. This one goes by the name "Golden Rosette" or "Rosette". I don't know the exact year, but most likely a promotional piece from the 1960s.

that sounds more like it to me. I was thinking the same thing -- that 1940s Pyrex was pretty limited in color.
