Thanks Bonnie! Yeah, shipping international isn't cheap when it comes to Pyrex, that's for sure.

yes and is seems to vary widely from state to state, I have had things shipped to me for a little as $7 from the US, and other times it cost $25, I just don't get it sometimes, but generally anything coming from the East part of US seems a lot more expensive then west, which kinda makes sense.

I put a high price on International and refund overages. It really depends on the weight. Anything over 4 lbs. is crazy expensive to ship International for me.

I offer to give ahead of purchase shipping quotes, but people don't take advantage of it too often.

I wish Etsy would add a shipping calculator. :(

We usually don't put an international shipping option in our listings but let people know that we do ship and they can ask for a quote. We get a lot of people asking and even a good amount of international orders on a regular basis.

Yes 4 lbs or 2kgs is kinda the magic number for international shipping. If you can stay under that you are usually are not too bad, also goes by box dimension here in Canada, if the total linear measurement is 90 cm or less it is less also (L+W+H). Sometimes it is cheaper to ship two small boxes rather then two big.
Still thinking about a few items in your shop Pull over the car as my mom started me on a "Crazy Daisy" collection of pyrex :)

I've tried it both ways, Jessie/Jason, but I seem to get more sales with it on there than I did without.

One of these days I'm going to sit down and see which countries I sell to a lot and make shipping profiles for them, going by weight. It's a lot of work though. Most of my international orders I have are for Australia, Canada, Europe.

Yes I agree, it will be a lot of work, only sold to US so far and quite a bit locally that people just pick up.
