Glasbake and Pyrex Related?

I found a very pretty white and turquoise loaf pan/dish that has "Glasbake" stamped on the back. I was curious if Glasbake was related to Pyrex in any way. Anyone know?

It is a pretty informative post!!

I have never purchaseD any Glasbake, but some of the dishes are really, so lovely, maybe I should start! Time to make some more room in the stuffed cupboards! LOL

Thank you! That was a very interesting post. They looked so much alike, I had to ask. I see that might have been a little bit of a problem for them, haha.

That's a great question. I'm just reshooting some photos of a glasbake divided dish I listed and I was wondering the same thing.

I have some beautiful Glasbake in my collection, too. My favorite is a clear corn bread pan...the kind that makes cornbread that looks like little ears of corn.

Re: Glasbake and Pyrex Related?

They are related in that they have the same functionality, otherwise no - they were just competitors on the market. After a while you spot the differences in shape, handle, etc. Some Glasbake patterns, though, are quite attractive.
