I see so many talented artists here...and I see so many posts by different Etsians asking for support in contests or blog giveaways, treasuries, features, facebook, twitter and everywhere else. So many of us are struggling to get noticed and I think our tendancy is to try and help ourselves rather then help someone else-after all~what is the point of helping someone if they don't return the favor right?
I think the result of this is that noone gets any help at all. I myself have been guilty of this. But I'm just looking around at all the posts from my fellow team members asking for support and some of them don't even have one response. Times are hard and sales are down and I know everyone (myself included) is trying so hard to get themselves noticed, get a sale, get a break but we won't accomplish that on the backs of our fellows. I think if everyone here-pledges to take the time~to help 5 team members a day~with whatever they are asking for help with and if those 5 people did the same for the person who helped them-as well as 5 other team members-then we can make a really big difference for eachother. I know all of you have such big hearts and such generous souls. If even half of us do this everyday-our team members (and ourselves) will benefit so much. I'm certain that part of the reason many of us joined a team-is because we know that there is strength in numbers~and there is! I propose that we put those numbers to work for us by helping our fellows to succeed~all of us. Post something you need help or support with below (a contest, a follow on blogger/twitter/facebook, comments and views on a treasury-or whatever you need)~list the shops that you have helped today and link to the shops that have helped you. If someone has not returned the favor post it here and I or someone else can pick up the slack. Let's try it-I believe it can be a good thing for us.
