Promotions?

Hello, I am new here to Etsy and I am still in the process of getting my shop on it's feet. What are some ways that you advertise to get people to come to your shop? Also, I seen that some of you have promotions. How does that work?

I am nervous about opening my shop but yet very excited and I want to do everything right and learn everything I can. Along with making friends along the way. :-)

I always send a link for all my new listings to my Facebook and Twitter accounts. I am the captain of a great team "Forget Me Nots Daily Discoveries" join some teams but be selective. Our team is like family, we help, critique and participate in everyone else's shops. It's a great way to spread the word on your shop.

Good luck, stay patient, that is key here, it doesn't happen overnight but as long as you persevere and continue making tweeks and improvements to your shop the customers will come.
