Many of the boost games require you to link one of your items (or your shop) and then follow a set of instructions. So if it says "Link 1, Favorite 5 above you", then you link your shop, hit reply and then click on the five people above you and hit the favorite button on their listings (heart sign).
It's important to follow the instructions and it becomes quite fun. Like posting links to only yellow items or googling company names outside of the Etsy app. Your visits go up fast if you respond to a lot of the threads. If the instructions are a little confusing you can always feel free to message the creator of the thread.
