I literally opened my Etsy today

I started a few weeks ago too. Get friends involved. Ask them to help you promote or even buy something and review it. I also created a Facebook page to help promote myself.

Hi guys,
I am also new around here. Good pictures of your items is always helpful.
Also, the one important step that I believe has worked for me around here is "promoting" your products through Etsy. I have mine set up at $10 a day. I have made $500 in 4 days so yes, you have to give a little to gain a little.

If you are going to pay for promoting I suggest stocking up your shop with at least 10 products or more no less than 10 though. This way you have a better chance to sell something and be worth the money you are paying a day to promote!

Also, do not foget to use "tag words"

Hey I joined recently. I opted to not list anything yet because I read up on tips. I'll share with yall.
Finish your About page and make it super related to what you sell who you are and your company and what it means to you. You can check mine out and just browse other shop pages. I didn't even look at the listings. Just read the pages and info. Customers want to feel like they know and can trust you. Also the about page is a tool to help make your shop pop up on Google and other search engines. It's hard to promote if they can't find you! A helpful tip also is to Google etsy shop tips and trad thru blogs.

I have just opened my shop also. I have been looking up high sellers in etsy and it seems we need to PROMOTE ourselves. I have a Facebook page.... But now my problem is producing sample pieces for custom orders. Mmmm
