--- My Initial Review of: Crafty Bids ---

To begin with my "Initial" Review of Crafty Bids please allow me to express my appreciation for our Team Captain, Ryan, who posted his thread: "Why pay if you don't sell?"

https://www.etsy.com/teams/20598/promote-handmade/discuss/18436545/?ref=team_page

What was most appreciated is that Captain Ryan sent our an Email Alert so I saw this in my email and immediately click post here!

Here's what I posted:

The FAQ says: "CraftyBids collects a 5% transaction fee on total final value of completed sales."

This is 1.75% more than Etsy transaction fee. I'm assuming this makes up for not having a listing fee?

Paying no listing fee can make a big difference especially for new sellers.

Thank you!

And, we posted a follow up post on the thread that you can read there. And, here's the link to Crafty Bids:

https://www.craftybids.com/

In response to Captain Ryan's question: "Why pay if you don't sell?" We asked ourselves: "Why pay 5% sales commission, when Etsy's sales commission is only about 3.25%?"

How about if we combine both questions into one question:

"Which is better? Etsy's 3.25% with $0.60 annually for one listing, or Crafty Bids' 5% with absolutely no listing fee (ever?)?"

The answer just might be "only time will tell" . . . yet, we do see an opportunity to perhaps get into the "ground floor" of something that is going to be great!

"You don't have to be great to start, but you do have to start to become great." --- Zig Ziglar

What really is Crafty Bids catch? Most free things do have a "catch."

We're just starting this "initial" review and we think it wise to do some more thinking and then we will come back and post more . . .

Thank you so very much for reading this . . . could be this just might be a great opportunity to carefully consider?

Could be? Maybe? Time to think some more on this opportunity!

Our advice for young people thinking of marriage: "Before marriage 'Eyes Wide Open' and after marriage 'Eyes Half Closed.'"

Before any important decision one is wiser when one opens their eyes to takes some extra time to give something new a careful evaluation!

We'll be back . . . hopefully, sooner than later!

Thank you!

One conclusion of our "initial review" of Crafty Bids is that Crafty Bids is relatively NEW!

Re: --- My Initial Review of: Crafty Bids ---

Here's our "initial review" (most of it at least) . . .

We like that Google's "crawlers" and "indexers" are finding some information about CraftyBids.com and a few of its sellers.

We also like that so far there is "no bad news" about www.CraftyBids.com --- this is good.

We can find no facts or information that tells us how sales will actually be on www.CraftyBids.com --- by the way the saying "no news is good news" really isn't so . . . "no news is plain no news."

The enticement here is we can enter and explore and post some listings (if approved) in www.CraftyBids.com --- and this is good!

or,

We can spend the time posting our Etsy listings in team "post and runs" and similar threads.

or, maybe we can just split the difference; and, this seems the best idea to "give it a go!"

Initially, and absolutely initially, our initial review and recommendation is to consider doing this.

"Continue posting on Etsy teams posting threads for listings" AND spend a little time first apply to be able to sell on www.CraftyBids.com" --- this concludes our initial review of Crafty Bids.

One more thing please . . . Consider this a test for the next 90 days . . . a real test . . . see what results from Crafty Bids and see what results from posting on Etsy team listing posting threads.

One other additional thing . . . we like that sellers must be approved to sell on Crafty Bids . . . here's the secret "Quality Customer Service First Sellers" make an online selling venue the best!

Consider this please: When an online venue charges nothing for a seller to listing products then that online venue must do all it can to get you sales so they can earning their sales commissions. Totally --- side by side in purpose and goal! Sales for every seller!
