Editable PDF files....Help!

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have been selling and customizing pdf's for people but would like to start creating some that they can download as a editable pdf file. So they can enter their own text and maybe photo and essentially customize it themselves. Does anyone know which program would be best for this?

I'm pretty sure the only way to do that is for you to have the full version of Adobe Acrobat. I remember wanting to do the same thing and I just didn't want to upgrade it, so I stuck to customizing it myself. I could be wrong but that's the only solution I've found in forums.

Thanks. I haven't ever done anything with adobe yet so I really didn't know where to start. Do you know if I need illustrator and acrobat?

I create everything in Photoshop and then make it editable in Adobe Acrobat Pro. I was able to purchase an older version for a fairly reasonable price. There was a bit of a learning curve for me and not a lot of readly-available tutorials for what I wanted to do so it takes a lot of trial and error to get things working the way you want them to, but it is well worth it. Now I can spend all that time I used to spend personalizing things for each customer on creating new designs and expanding my shop. I hope that helps. :)

Thanks so much. I'm new to it all so I didn't know exactly what I needed. I'm doing the trial version of adobe acrobat now and it is exactly what I needed.

Isn't it limited though to what they can change as far as font size? I get requests to do this, but when I've set something up to be editable in Adobe Pro, it seems the customer still couldn't change the font size.

I also use Adobe Acrobat Pro to make editable PDFs. The customer won't be able change the font, font size or the artwork. It is also not possible for them to add photos. I've seen others that offer Microsoft Word documents instead of PDFs that the customer can edit easily, but the PDFs are working for me.
