Selling prints framed or unframed / price question

Hi everyone! I'm brand new to Etsy and I just edited photos of all of my hand-pulled silkscreen prints that I'd like to sell. I've seen a lot of prints on here that aren't framed, so I figure I can list them as such, but I'm thinking of adding an "Add a frame" option for +/- $25 or so for some of my prints. Do more people prefer to buy prints framed or unframed?

Another question: I've been debating on the price of my prints. One in particular is pretty large (Art size: 16.5”x12”, Paper size: 20.75”x14.75”) and has 6 color runs, and is the most detailed of my prints. My family and fellow college students agree I should sell it for $25/30, but I've spoken with a few people in town who have Etsy shops who say "Don't be afraid to price it higher." Do you guys have any criteria you base your prices off of (size, number of runs)?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Re: Selling prints framed or unframed / price question

Hi
its the pricing question again......
I price my work the same as if I was putting it into a gallery
because a gallery buyer dues not want to find that he could have bought my work a lot cheaper if he had gone to Etsy first.
I add extra for framing and mounting- these take time and materials
At the end of the day its mostly intuition guided by time taken and all the other variables

That's a very good point about the gallery pricing, I hadn't even thought about that!

I'd price it higher, definitely. My screen prints are ll around £40, and I've been told I under price them.
