Is my price point right?

I would love a critique on my price point for my store. I had increased the price of all the cake toppers in my store by $20 but after a month I had less sales. The problem is that it takes me a long time to make them and if I were really paying myself correctly they would be $20 more but maybe that puts me out of my price range.

I would love to hear some comments!

Thanks!

Re: Is my price point right?

I'm not going to lie I had sticker shock at first when I saw your prices but after reading your discription and understanding how much work goes into your toppers I think your prices are perfect! I love the idea that the toppers look like the couple and will reflect their personalities on their wedding cake (and lets be real the wedding cake is a big deal at a lot of weddings!)
I think you should keep your prices right where they are! Such a cool idea

Re: Is my price point right?

I am having the same problem as I am not sure if I am pricing my accessories correctly. I look at other stores selling more or less the same items and they are much more reasonable.

I look forward to hearing your comments

Re: Is my price point right?

Hi Danielle! First of all, your wedding toppers are beautiful. :) My feeling about your items is that they are already priced high, and if your customers are willing to pay $140+ on a topper, then $20 would not make that much of a difference to them. However, if you are concerned about the sales, then perhaps you could compromise and raise the price by only $10 and see how that goes. Also, maybe a month of less sales is not enough time to tell if there really is a drop in sales -- because maybe that particular month was slow for another reason entirely? :) I hope this helps.
