Re: Pottery-related Blogs

Thanks, Kristina, why didn't *I* think of this!

Here's mine--and although the photos are of my work, if you'll look to the right-hand side, there are some "Helpful Articles" about different subjects you might find interesting and/or helpful!

Thanks!

Re: Pottery-related Blogs

Thanks, Kristina! I like your sunny studio and your tutorials, too!

What kind of "scientist" are you? How long have you been in pottery?

Maybe we should do an "introduce yourself" thread in Pottery Lovers!

Re: Pottery-related Blogs

Hello I'm new to this group, I'm an overglaze painter, glass artist and jewellery maker, I'm now venturing into clay.
I've posted this mornings results on my blog, I could do with some help as some of my pieces have warped
thanks for your time

Re: Pottery-related Blogs

Hi and Welcome, jille,

Your blog is very nice, clean and bright! As for the thin pieces warping, I find that I have to leave my ornaments a tiny bit thicker than I'd really like or they
will warp!

And, as for your Nichrome wire sagging and touching the shelf, do you have the little kiln sitter tripod things over there? You could place them under your ornament during firing and not have to use the wire and hang them?

Again, Welcome and thanks for posting!

Re: Pottery-related Blogs

You're welcome!

And, another suggestion, be sure to buff off the little sharp edges the tripod stilts leave on the ornament. I like to be sure the customers can't get harmed.
People are so funny!
