March Discussion Thread

Hey Guys!
Happy March 1!! So, at the begining of every month I'll start a new thread - otherwise the discussion threads get really really long if you don't close them off every once in a while!

So, I don't know if I mentioned this buy I'm expecting a new little baby girl this May!! I was hoping to go off work today but, of course, my OB thought that was a bit premature! Grrrrrrr...... oh well!!!

For me personally, I get the most traffic and sales From Sunday to Tuesday, usually in the evening.

I thank you also, Kristina, for the blog about listing times. I was led to believe at 6:00 PM EST was the best time ~ I will try doing it twice a day and see what happens.

I too have noticed better views in he evening. A flurry of activity between Thursdays and Friday. Again on Sunday afternoon-Tuesday evening. The great thing about google analytics is it tracks for you when your views are up. For this ALONE it is the best thing I've found to help on post times. I also delve into reading how those with 150+ sales post and relist. Most of you here are moms. Who buys for the posh nursery more than moms? If you find that the evenings after kids are tucked snugly into bed is the time you can get online to check email and peruse etsy...so do other moms.

Noelle - I just signed up for Google Analytics the other day and think it's really cool. But one problem - I don't REALLY know everythign I'm looking at! Is tehre a guide available anywhere to tell you what all the data actually means?

So, as I mentioned in the Resources thread, I was going to do a blog posting about our team! Which I did!! I don't have a huge blog or anything (187-ish followers) but I thought any publicity is better than none!

Obviously I couldn't highlight all 38 members so what I did was go to the random number generator and pick out 6 numbers. I looked the list I have written down and picked items from those 6 team members.

Of course I will blog more later on so I'll keep note of who I have featured and then randomly pick from those left for future blog posts!

The customer and I worked on the colors together, and I pointed her to a listing of mine that had a color she was describing - only to find out that she had the same butterfly accessory that I had used in a prop for my photo. The pillow turned out beautifully, and she just e-mailed me to say that you. Hooray!
