Help Please!

Hi Everyone,

I need some help. Things have been going well and I was looking forward to a wonderful holiday season but... Etsy changed the front page and quilts has been dropped. My views and sales have completely dropped off.

I am desperate to get my items into a category that can be found on the front page but nothing is working. I managed to get a baby quilt into the kids section but two minutes later it was gone. I see a lot of other quilts that are always othe front page.

I used to renew items every day to get in the first few pages but now that does nothing. What can I do?

If you have any advise I would really appreciate it!

I am guessing the new sections you are trying to break into are very crowded with many sellers fitting into those categories. Chances are the quilt category was not a 'popular' section so while it was doing amazing things for your company there maybe were not a lot of others in your category and that is why you were able to stay at the top for so long with less re-posting.

It may be worth sending an email to Etsy to voice your concern and let them know how this affected you so directly, especially so close to the holiday season. If your sales drop it does ultimately effect the bottom line of Etsy as well... maybe the quilt section was not strong for them... but maybe if you voice your experience with them they will reconsider.

And then... I am new to Etsy, so I may be completely off track on my thought process.

Thanks Jessica. I was part of the "test" group for the new front page and did send an email to let them know I was not happy with it.

Right now I would just like to get my items found somewhere.

Hi Kari,

You have lovely things in your shop. I am sorry for the dilema you are having. All looks good in your shop with photos, titles, tags, circles, teams...etc. Your prices seam reasonable at first glance.

Are you staying active in teams, answering threads...etc? I had to ask. : )

Activity always helps get me noticed, and adding new things to my shop. Promoting my items on teams get my items added to treasuries or as favorites. It seems you are doing everything else right but this is something you may want to ask yourself. I think I spend an hour on the average each day going to teams to find someone I can help, something I can promote, or something I can say to start a discussion to get team activity going. Activity....activity....activity on Etsy....ALWAYS BRINGS ME THE RESULTS I am looking for. If your shop is as beautiful as yours, I can't think of anything that works better to bring sales.
